Dental crowns or caps are dental restorations that fit over the top of a damaged tooth. Crowns can be made from metal, ceramic, or porcelain material that is molded to look and function like your natural tooth. Most patients prefer white dental crowns to match their natural teeth, which we offer at our dental centers.

The old-fashioned way of making dental crowns is still used in many dental practices. This includes having the patient bite down on a goopy mold to make an impression of the tooth. Then, a temporary crown is made and put on the tooth, while the mold is sent to a dental lab. It can take weeks to receive the dental crown, which is then installed on the tooth

At Neville Dental Studio, we offer same-day dental crowns in many cases. We do not use molds—we have advanced 3D imaging that can create a digital impression of your tooth without the uncomfortable molding process. Our dental centers have 3D printers in-house and an on-site dental lab that can make dental crowns, so most crowns can be completed in one visit.

Dental Inlays and Onlays

When a complete dental crown is not needed, we can also make inlays and onlays to repair damaged teeth. These restorations cover a larger portion of the tooth than a filling, but not the entire tooth, like a crown. We can create inlays and onlays that are color-matched to your tooth to keep your smile white and attractive.
